"THE BEST - After getting a 2nd DUI (.088) in 4 years, I was in need of some serious counsel. Geoff came highly recommended-- and for good reason.

I'd recently graduated from a 4 year university, and secured a dream job in my field. So the DUI was devastating to say the least. "In August of 2007, I was unfortunately arrested for a DUI by the Seattle police.

After interviewing many attorneys, I hired Geoff Burg to handle my case.

Over the months that followed of going through the court process, Mr. Burg was able to get my DUI charge reduced to a 'Negligent-1'.

As people will find out when being charged with a DUI, not only will you have to contend with the court system, but you will also have to deal with "Department Of Licensing", who can independently suspend your license (and in most cases do) regardless of any outcome with the court. I was very happy when Geoff prevailed in my hearing with the Department Of Licensing, with no suspension of my driving privileges.

Six months later in February of 2008, I’m not happy to admit that I received a second DUI by the Seattle police. I once again hired Mr. Burg to handle my case and he managed to get the DUI dismissed completely with the court, and he once again prevailed with the Department Of Licensing hearing, with absolutely no consequence to me.

While going through the court process two times with Mr. Burg, I came to learn that he is also well respected by the Judges and Prosecuting Attorney's office.

I believe this can be very important in the decision making process on the court's part. We as people, all tend to subjectively do more for those who we like and respect in this world, and I'm sure that other attorneys with less admiration and influence may not have received the same outcome that Mr. Burg was able to obtained for me.

Let me start by saying that I know I am not the easiest person to deal with and I know I can be incredibly impatient. I made a few stupid mistakes and had felt bounced around by a few attorneys when I finally landed in your office.

As I am sure you are aware of getting in trouble with the law can be extremely embarrassing, shameful, uncomfortable, scary, and a whole bunch of other things (I am sure you saw every one of my emotions over the course of a two year period). "Dear Geoffrey,
I just wanted to write you a letter to tell you thank you for everything. I also wanted to write this letter so that everyone else could see how much I appreciate what you did. I started shopping around for an attorney recently after I received a reckless driving ticket in Puyallup, Washington. I was so worried after I got this ticket cause I have a commercial drivers license and couldn't lose it because of my job. "This letter is to document my support of Mr. Geoffrey Burg, to recognize his talents as an attorney and express my heartfelt gratefulness to the personal focus that he gave to my case in a time I needed it most.

I am currently a part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, located in Gardez, Afghanistan. The Corps is involved in a humanitarian effort in this country, rebuilding the infrastructure that was decimated by the Russian invasion of the 1980's. "DUI is not fun, its not a minor event in life , not something to be taken lightly, it is a life altering experience, that comes with great responsibility, and many repercussions. You cannot runaway from a DUI and expect it to go away, it does not, it has to be dealt with, the law is very clear on DUI and it has little tolerance for it. I was very blessed to have you on my side of the court room when I got a DUI, You took a worst case scenario and found the best solution that was appropriate for me.

From the moment I entered your office, your paralegal (Tammy), your partners and yourself were so warm and friendly, especially when I was feeling my worst. You were informative and upfront and had confidence when I had none. This should have been a 5-minute argument regarding the City's motion to continue a trial, but in light of the questionable tap-dancing and other shenanigans by the prosecutor it turned into a 2 plus hour hearing.

"A highly skilled, knowledgeable, and thorough attorney - I was arrested for DUI on a weekend in early March of 2008. It was a second DUI, so I was in legal territory that was unfamiliar to me. I was in crisis, and was anticipating that my personal and professional lives would be disrupted in catastrophic ways. In short, I was afraid.

The next day I was researching the penalties for a second DUI in Washington State when I was lucky enough to find the Burg Attorneys website (http://www.glblaw.com/). It seemed that every search I did on mandatory minimum sentencing guidelines led to their informative and thorough site. I took this as a reliable cue that Burg Attorneys was a quality firm. Later that evening I called the number given on the website to schedule a consultation (206.467.2607). I spoke to Geoffrey Burg, who helped me schedule a free 60-minute consultation with attorney Patricia Fulton for the following afternoon.

By the time I met with Patricia the next day, I had managed to worry myself into a very unpleasant mental state. She was patient with my multiple questions, and she clearly outlined what my options were, what I could expect, and what I needed to do to make my legal position as favorable as possible. I was given concise, easy-to-follow printed materials that would assist me with the preparation of my case in the weeks to come - most useful was a detailed "To Do List" (alcohol evaluation, alcohol treatment, DUI victim panel, arrest narrative, Department of Licensing hearing, etc.). Patricia was also completely transparent about the matter of payment: a reasonable one-time flat fee. She even advised me to meet with other attorneys in the area before making a final decision. I felt much calmer and in control of my legal situation after I left her office. Ultimately, my second DUI charge was reduced to Reckless Driving, the consequences of which are substantial but not nearly as personally disruptive as those for a second-offense DUI. I was also able to maintain deferred prosecution status for my first DUI, for which I am extraordinarily grateful.

"Excellent DUI Attorney - I visited Patricia last year after getting pulled over for a DUI.
